WebSTAR™ (formerly MacHTTP) is the ultimate World Wide Web server for Macintosh. WebSTAR™ lets you publish hypertext documents to millions of Web users around the world from your Macintosh. WebSTAR can also serve any Macintosh file on the Web, including GIF and JPEG images, and QuickTime™ movies and is fully compatible with all Web clients including the one that started the revolution, Mosaic™. Complete documentation for installing and maintaining WebSTAR is included on this CD. The new features in WebSTAR 1.2 are documented in the WebSTAR 1.2 Addendum.
WebSTAR comes pre-configured and ready-to-run so that within minutes, your Macintosh can be on-line, operating as a full-fledged Web server. And, since WebSTAR is compatible with any HTML documents, existing HTML documents you may already have just need to be moved onto your Macintosh. As an upgrade to MacHTTP, WebSTAR boasts many new features, including speed increases of up to 400%. WebSTAR's multi-threaded, PowerPC native architecture allows it to easily keep pace with the most powerful UNIX servers on the market.
